Questioning and feedback
Key Points.
- Questioning in the classroom can be both a form of assessment for learning and assessment as learning.
- Questioning allows the teacher to assess the level of comprehension of students. Questioning also allows the teacher to promote dialogue in the classroom between classmates and collectively engage in higher level, more complex forms of thinking about the material.
- For feedback to be effective, it should allow the student to answer the following question: "What should I do to improve?"
